The one thing I'll never forget from childbirth classes is being taught about the birth crawl, and the instructor saying how nipples are made to look like a bullseye.matthuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14091862925316117002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5123673175206096526.post-53713098936260892212011-03-21T09:40:10.899-04:002011-03-21T09:40:10.899-04:00When I had my first son I was someone who failed m...When I had my first son I was someone who failed miserably at breatfeeding so I have been there. I was lucky enough to find the right help so I was able to successfully feed my next 3 children. Recently I learned about a relatively new way to increase supply right from the start.

The concept is to get breast going full speed right away. What you do is to make sure to express about a teaspoon of colostrum every two hours into a spoon from the minute the baby is born even if your baby is breastfeeding well. You can spoon feed the colostrum to the baby after you have expressed it.

Here is a link to a video explaining the process. Maybe it will help in the future!

http://newborns.stanford.edu/Breastfeeding/HandExpression.htmlUpper West Side Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06316605883392229067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5123673175206096526.post-78133279949465336192011-03-17T15:57:03.983-04:002011-03-17T15:57:03.983-04:00Thank you, Jessica! I was raging when I wrote this post, and raging again (reraging?) when we posted it and got a whole new slew of "why don't you just try harder?"-type comments. And then I saw this, and laughed. And I am still laughing, even though it is a fast day and I'm about to go all zombie-brains on anyone around (satire! not a threat! i promise! bli neder! oh did that just nullify everything i said!).matthuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14091862925316117002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5123673175206096526.post-70688204740741434982011-03-16T12:33:39.169-04:002011-03-16T12:33:39.169-04:00I commented on the content of this article over at...I commented on the content of this article over at kveller. (Thank you again for posting this!) This time though I had to comment on the "labels" for this post. "Breasts" and "hasidim"... lol, I really hope you have some sort of Google Analytics type thing connected to your blog so you can see how many people Googled "breasts hasidim" to get to this post. lol.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01844742305066932775noreply@blogger.com
